As part of our commitment towards the responsible use of alcohol and the reduction of drink driving, Tempus bars have combined two initiatives, these are cheaper drinks for designated drivers, and the provision of alcohol breath testing facilities with each of our mobile bars.
Anyone who will only be drinking soft drinks can ask for one of our designated driver wristbands. This wristband will allow the wearer to purchase softdrinks from our bars at cost price. Hopefully this will help reward those who are unlucky enough to have drawn the short straw and cannot join their friends in drinking at the event.
All of our mobile bars are now being provided with BACTRACK B70 portable breathalyzers. This is a modern system that does not require the use of disposable mouthpieces making it ideal for testing multiple people at events. Anyone who has been drinking can request the use of the BACTRACK to check their blood alcohol level. Although this cannot take the place of a police approved test, it is intended to help people realise just how their drinking affects them, and show just how little they need to drink to approach a dangerous level of intoxication.
The table to the right gives an indication of the effects and consequences of the consumption of alcohol.
