About Tempus Bars
The creation of Tempus bars arose out of the many requests other companies in the JARM Group received for bar services. We already specialise in providing catering and entertainment for weddings, parties and corporate events, so adding a range of bar services is a logical progression of this.
Why Tempus Bars?
The actual name was Tempus Fugit Bars, a Latin expression which is commonly translated as ‘Time Flies’, but actually means ‘Time Flees’. I was watching Angelina in one of the Tomb Raider films, well to be more precise, I was listening to it in the background whilst working on a PC, when a character in the film states, “Tempus Fugit, Time Flies”.
I liked the name and after deciding to set up a bar business and wanting a classy Latin name, I settled on that. Unfortunately my other half decreed that no one would know how to pronounce it and it was a stupid idea. Eventually in a spirit of compromise I settled on the Tempus brand name.
The bar business makes a perfect complement to our other corporate services and will enable us to provide the bulk of the services required by our clients. All we need now is a hog roast company...............
